PURPOSE: 

The Enterprise Applications and Technology Manager role is to supervise and maintain the organization’s repository of software applications and their integrations through best practices utilizing appropriate staffing and management of a technical support team. This position is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes and activities related to the development, delivery and integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions as required to meet the businesses requirements. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the business on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. 

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (performs other duties as assigned):  

People 

  • Responsible for staffing and training a team of developers, analysts, and other professionals, providing guidance, mentorship and support for optimal team growth. 
  • Sets and communicates project priorities, goals, objectives, expectations, milestones and timetables with development and support teams.
  • Drives accountability via clear definition of roles and responsibilities.
  • Organizes and leads IT Agile/Scrum planning cycles, status meetings and communications
  • Emphasis on utilizing programming standards, compliance and documentation
  • Conducts performance evaluations, coaches and mentors staff on career development.

Process 

  • Lead the development, maintenance and support of enterprise applications, ensuring they meet/exceed quality, security, internal compliance and performance standards.  Emphasis on ERP system.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of enterprise applications development and end-user support.  This includes but not limited to Finance, Operations, Sales/Pricing, Quality, Transportation, and Supply Chain functionality as well as application and user security. 
  • Manage the customization and configuration of software applications to meet/exceed specific business requirements.
  • As part of the IT management team, contribute IT thought leadership from an enterprise applications perspective.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide strategic guidance in defining solutions for business needs in partnership with Enterprise Applications, Infrastructure Services, and Service Delivery
  • Proven experience in developing and managing project plans for complex multi-system solutions by creating detailed project plans, outlining the milestones and resource management.
  • Actively participates in preparation and execution of IT strategic plan.
  • Lead Change Management, Training and UAT to support successful completion of projects

Technology  

  • Introduces and integrates conventional and new methodologies into the full development life cycle.
  • Stays current on emerging technologies, innovations, markets, tools, software and methodologies in terms of IT applications development.  Recommends new technologies and/or processes to replace for end-of-life applications.
  • Develops project processes, procedures, and toolkits to improve the standardization, efficiency, and effectiveness of ERP and related systems. 
  • Owns application integrations with D365 ERP platform including data imports/exports. 
  • Leads work sessions with Business Partners to identify business needs and promotes recommended solutions.
  • Effectively utilizes ServiceNow (or similar) ticketing system for support requests and new project requests.
  • Manages all 3rd party application vendor contracts and relationships.

  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering
  • 10 years of overall IT leadership experience
  • 10 years of technical team leadership experience
  • 10 years of experience in a structured programming language
  • 10 years of significant project management
  • 5 years of global ERP project implementations/management experience and emerging technologies across a Microsoft cloud eco-system
  • Experience integrating third party applications and workflows with ERP systems
  • Experience setting up and effectively using Microsoft Azure DevOps Tools, Agile and/or Waterfall  development methodologies
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Solid track record managing strategic and enterprise IT projects
  • Experience managing diverse stakeholder perspectives and priorities
  • Proven track record in relationship building, inspiring teamwork and engagement
  • Adept at leading, empowering, and providing thought leadership/direction and coaching for cross functional multi-location teams
  • Strong customer service skills and focus, ability to form strong business relationships and partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and run effective meetings
  • Ability to collaborate and work with project team members in global locations across time zones
  • Able to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and business activities.
  • Able to interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance and Operations implementation experience
