CloudOps Engineer

Career Area: Digital Job Description: Cloud Operations is responsible for maintaining standards and practices in Cat Digital’s AWS environment. This role will be to manage, control, administer, monitor, and improve the status of resources deployed in our AWS cloud environments. JOB DUTIES: As a CloudOps Engineer you will contribute to make reactive changes to configuration during remediation. You will be responsible for proactive configuration changes to minimize operational disruptions and oversight of cloud services that an organization’s employee use. You will investigate the most prominent cloud architectures, automation techniques for composing agile and automated end-to end IT processes, and software re-architecting and re-engineering approaches. Creating and maintaining Service availability and stability Looking into issues that are coming up on the AWS platform Identifying technical contacts to help solve issues within AWS Writing automation to fix the issues (sometimes) Performance of our system and Services in Pre-Production & Production stages Competent to perform all programming and development assignments without close supervision Basic qualifications: Position requires a four-year degree from an accredited college or university 1-3 years of CloudOps experience AWS Console experience (Tagging AWS resources, Cost Explorer, IAM Access Analyzer) 1-3 years AWS Console experience (Tagging AWS resources, Cost Explorer, IAM Access Analyzer) 1-3 years Python Development experience Experience in automating & implementing identity & security policies for cloud infrastructure (AWS) Analytic mindset and good with troubleshooting issues Top candidates will also have and Nice to Have Skills/Requirements: AWS Platform Issues/Resolutions Operational Role & Cloud Engineer background Writing Automations to fix issues Additional AWS Certifications related to Architecture or Security Experience performing analysis on deployed resources in AWS Experience working with cloud infrastructure and managing resources in the cloud Experience of working with Product Owners within an Agile / Scrum environment and Agile behaviors Great verbal and written communication skills to collaborate cross functionally and enhance scalability #LI-Hybrid Visa sponsorship available for eligible applicants.
