Proposal Lead The Proposal Lead/Writer will be responsible for developing proposals and other related documentation for a comprehensive range of CDMO services and project types, with a focus on the gene therapy service offering, supporting the global Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) Business Development team. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and varied role that requires outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, the drive to learn, and the ability to perform sales support responsibilities and thrive in a team environment. In concert with Catalent’s Patient First philosophy, this position is key in our efforts toward continuous improvement of our processes & information which will allow quality drug products to reach patients safely and efficiently. This is a field-based, remote position. The Role (daily responsibilities) General proposal development support for gene therapy service offering including: Writing and editing proposal language and developing pricing and project timelines to deliver cohesive, compelling proposals to potential clients Coordination cross-functionally (i.e., Commercial Operations, Business Development Project Management, Technical Teams, Finance, Senior Leadership) to obtain technical, budget and schedule information Cross-train on proposal support for additional business offerings, including but not limited to cell therapy and plasmid DNA production Maintain templates, as well as historical customer pricing and other proposal information, as appropriate Develop and maintain standardized tools to support Proposal Management/Business Development, including proposal templates, libraries of standard proposal language and company offerings, databases of projects, personnel, facility and other company information Maintain open opportunity information and assist with proposal/change order metrics/KPI reporting utilizing SalesForce.com and other tools. Assist in preparing responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), including coordination with SMEs/functional leads to prepare technical components of submissions Support project change order development, including prioritizing and coordination with Commercial Operations, Project Management and SMEs to prepare pricing Other duties as assigned. The Candidate (requirements) Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in a scientific discipline, communications, business or related field 2-5 years of hands-on proposal development, project management or related experience Experience working in biotech/pharma industry and/or contract manufacturing environment and experience with viral vectors for gene/cell therapy highly preferred Ability to be flexible, motivated, resourceful, and organized; Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Project and Power Point).
