Salesforce Marketing Cloud Project Manager

Job Description:  

As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (“ExactTarget”) Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of marketing automation projects for our clients. This will involve overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and scoping to execution and delivery. You will be collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all project milestones are achieved on time and within budget. 
 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the Creative Services and Marketing Automation team to execute integrated CRM strategies, including the expansion of Salesforce within an organization through a Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation.
  
• Clearly communicate updates related to Marketing Cloud-specific work streams - such as Sender Authentication Package set-up, SSL installation, mobile SDKs, and short-code acquisition – to customers, as well as detail their implications to project timeline.  

• Understand and establish connections between Marketing Cloud and other parts of the Salesforce ecosystem, including core CRM (Service/Sales Cloud), Government Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  
• Analyze and report results that will drive further optimization for customers’ email, mobile, web, and advertising performances.
  
• Oversee the project team in developing: 

• A thorough product backlog after requirements gathering sessions. 
• Project artifacts during build, including the necessary flow charts and architecture diagrams. 

• Easy-to-understand test scripts for customers of all levels of technical aptitude. 
• Digestible training documentation and videos.
  

• Facilitate client-facing meetings, including stand-up's and executive steering committee meetings, keeping the necessary stakeholders apprised of project budget, risks, blockers, dependencies, and timeline.
  
• Monitor team utilization to ensure the timely and on-budget delivery of all Marketing Cloud implementations.  
   

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  
• PMP or other project management certification preferred.
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on Salesforce projects.
  
• Must be familiar with the value of different tools within Marketing Cloud and their implementation strategies, including but not limited to, Email Studio, Mobile Studio (for MobilePush and MobileConnect), Web Studio, Journey Builder, Advertising Studio, Automation Studio, Intelligence Reports (formerly Datorama), and Einstein.
  

• Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including experience with Marketing Cloud Connect, Pardot, Customer Data Platform (CDP), Genie, and/or other related products.
  
• Familiarity using Asana, Forecast, and/or JIRA for project management purposes.
  
• Familiarity with opportunities for custom development with Marketing Cloud, including the  value of SQL and AMPscript programming.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
