JOB TITLE: QC Inspection Technician
DEPARTMENT: Quality
REPORTS TO: QC Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
An Inspection Technician is responsible for ensuring in-process and packaged finished goods are received and tested in a timely manner. Duties include communicating with the production department to establish prioritization of analysis of: Cleanliness of equipment and passing of in-process and packaged goods against a standard. The technician ensures that all raw materials used in manufacture align with what is called out for on the manufacturing record.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Inspecting and evaluating product quality at every stage in the manufacturing process, from pre-production to packaging.
- Checking that all raw materials designated for a product are correct.
- Comparing the flavor of a product sample with a standard.
- Testing the physical qualities of products (density, pH, moisture content, etc.) to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Ensuring encapsulated products are in good condition and meet weight requirements.
- Ensuring all materials using in the packaging process are correct.
- Checking that products meet quality standards during the packaging process.
- Preparing samples for analytical testing.
- Assisting in investigating products that may potentially be out of specification.
- Performing ATP swab and allergen swab tests to ensure equipment is clean for production.
- Maintaining clear and open communication with other departments.
- Reviewing documentation and completing paperwork in such a manner that it meets quality requirements.
- Maintaining and helping to enforce GMP requirements throughout the facility.
- Follow Organic and Allergen Control Program for segregating and clear Allergen identification of incoming raw material.

- Thorough comprehension of 21CFR111 regulations and directives, Good Manufacturing Practices, federal regulations, and HACCP and OSHA regulations.

- Excellent attendance and reliability.
JOB TYPE:
Full-time. On-site. 40hours/week. Position is Monday through Friday, may have to work on weekends depending on requirement.
