General Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and growth-oriented Sr. Human Resources Manager to join our team. Responsibilities include overseeing the full spectrum of human resources generalist duties including HR administration, talent acquisition, employee relations and engagement, benefits administration, performance management, compliance.

This individual will also contribute to corporate strategy and culture initiatives and provide input and support to the company’s senior leaders. To be successful in this role, you should possess expert knowledge of human resources best practices, have experience with hourly and salaried employee populations, and be familiar with HR technology (including HRIS, benefits and Applicant Tracking Systems). Ultimately, the role will ensure our company develops, administers and manages policies that reflect a “best places to work” environment and culture, and supports the company’s strategic plans and the well-being of our employees and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day HR functions supporting both hourly and salaried employees:

• Work with Sr. Director of HR to set objectives for the HR team and track progress:
• Design and implement company policies that promote a healthy work environment:
• Develop and manage compensation and benefits strategies.
• Develop and lead Employee Onboarding programs.
• Support and suggest improvements to the talent acquisition and performance management lifecycles.
• Discuss employees’ career development paths and succession plans with managers.
• Monitor HR metrics (e.g., talent acquisition, attrition rates, cost-per-hire, etc.)
• Support learning and professional development programming.
• Ensure HR staff addresses employees’ requests and grievances in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain HR procedures that support current and future employees and comply with all applicable labor regulations.

Qualifications

Education:

• BS degree in Human Resources Management / Organizational Psychology or similar
• MS degree in HR or relevant certification is a plus (HRCI or SHRM)

Experience:

• 7-10 years work experience as an HR Generalist including demonstrated success as a Manager / Senior Manager in a similar role.
• 3-5 years experience managing people.
• Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software (including HRIS and benefits systems and ATS)
• Strong HR generalist experience including expert knowledge of Federal and state labor laws, employee relations, compensation and benefits.
• Experience as a Human Resources Business Partner is desirable.
