The Accounts Payable Lead will support the accounts payable and general accounting functions of the company. This position requires computing, classifying, and recording the numerical data to ensure the accurate and timely posting of project and other expenses, as well as their timely payment, to maintain positive relationships with the company’s vendors and trade partners.

What to expect in the role:
Essential functions of the AP Lead are as follows:
- Enters AP invoices and ensures accurate coding to projects and commitments
- Processes Weekly Check Runs for the Company
- Processes ‘Special Pay’ check runs and requests
- Reviews and follows up on unapproved AP invoices
- Sets up new vendors throughout the company systems
- Acts as a resource to and mentors Accounts Payable Specialists
- Assists the preparation of sales and use tax return filings
- Performs other special projects and accounting duties as assigned.
What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with:
- At least 3 years of accounting experience within a project-based business
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or related field
- The ability to be organized, meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, interpersonal) with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Office (Excel specifically), and ability to quickly learn the organization’s various software. Experience with Viewpoint Vista is a plus
- The desire to work in an office environment (in our Lakewood HQ).

Compensation:
In addition to offering a competitive base salary, Catamount employees are eligible for additional incentives for merit/performance, project incentives*, new hire referrals, and business development commissions. *Project incentives are limited to certain roles in Operations.
