YOUTH PREVENTION COORDINATOR
$18.00 - $20.50 Hourly: Non-Exempt
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Youth Prevention Coordinator will provide all direct services for youth and young adults up to the age of 24 under the administration of the Tribal Behavioral Health Grant, also known as the Native Connections, targeting mental wellness promotion, substance use/misuse prevention, and suicide prevention. The Youth Prevention Specialist is responsible for direct services, case management, community outreach, intake and assessment, activities coordination, participant enrollment, and will serve as a liaison for other community youth and young adult programs. Major duties will include recruiting youth and young adult participants up to age 24, developing and implementing evidence-based prevention programs, activity participation and/or lead facilitator, and developing and implementing a program strategic plan. They will plan and coordinate planning and coordinating outreach events, activities, and meetings.
This position supports this portion of the CIN Mission by promoting cultural heritage, strong self-esteem, and working towards a successful life for youth, young adults, and their families. The Youth Prevention Specialist reports to the Youth Program Manager. This program falls under the Division of Health and Human Services.
This position is responsible for and subject to the CIN Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual and Policies and Procedures for CIN Health and Human Services.
