What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Production Assistant position at Catbird?
We are looking for a highly organized Pre-Production Assistant to work weekdays at our Brooklyn jewelry studio.
The ideal candidate for this position is extremely flexible and thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing and changing environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking initiative to build their own momentum within this role, as it is such a unique and vital part of our daily operation that has so much room to grow. Our Pre-Production Assistant acts as a support for all jewelry production as they are an important point in our production chain, responsible for preparing all of our raw materials for our jewelers before they hit the floor. Jewelry interest and experience is a plus but not essential.

\n- Raw material prep (ring coiling, chain cutting, component-pulling, jump ring coiling, wire handling)
- Raw material organization and oversightWork with our jewelers to manage unanticipated raw material needs
- Work with production management to provide constant communication and support for daily operations
- Provide support for design & product development team
- Report on pre-production status
- Delegate and teach tasks to others when they are assigned to pre-production when additional man-power is needed and directed by the Pre-Production Assistant Manager or Team Lead.
