Caterpillar’s Student Trainee Program
The Student Trainee Program continues to provide students the opportunity to develop their skills through a paid experiential learning experience. Former participants of the program have been successful in jumpstarting their careers by capitalizing on the opportunity to network and establish mentors and professional references. Some graduates of the program have gone on to participate in Caterpillar’s other early talent student programs such as our Corporate Intern Program and our Parallel Co-Op Program and some have even secured full-time employment via our various direct hire, development, and rotational program opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Students considered for administration positions gain valuable experience working in a professional office setting. All positions require working in a team environment and demonstrating quality customer service. Responsibilities vary from job to job, but may include: data entry; scheduling meetings; maintaining office supplies, updating/editing documents.
Considerations include education or experience in data entry, current software packages, data entry, math or accounting. In addition, successful performance requires sound judgment, motivation, effective interaction with others and the ability to handle an array of responsibilities.
These positions are open to Peoria, Illinois area freshman and sophomore college students only.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
· Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college program as a freshman or sophomore student during the 2020-21 academic year
· Must have a cumulative 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale
· Must be 16 years of age by June 1, 2020
· Must have reliable transportation
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
These are temporary learning opportunities located in the Greater Peoria area. Relocation for this opportunity is not available.
