Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Demand & Orders Analyst position within the Mississippi facility. This position will develop and manage a production scheduling process that is innovative and promotes maximization of efficiency and optimization of resources/assets internally while retaining enough flexibility to ensure that all customer needs are met in a timely and cost-conscious manner. Responsible for key supply chain performance indicators across velocity and order-to-delivery.
Job Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
Develop production plans to accommodate customer demand within practical production
capabilities and balances the often-conflicting objectives of employment stability, efficient manufacturing and appropriate inventory levels to achieve optimum costs and satisfying the customer.
Functions would include the following:
- Interpret product demand into a valid production schedule and execute the schedule to meet customer shipment dates
- Coordinate customer orders with production capacity and commitments
- Enter customer orders, release production orders, expedite material, order purchased finished material, manage a scrap database and report inventory key performance indicators
- Communicate order status to customers through appropriate channels and ensure product is invoiced on time
- Perform Root Cause Analysis, make recommendations and where applicable implement Corrective Action Plans for issues involving the production schedule and customer delivery
- Work closely with management team and associates in marketing, sales, operations and engineering to identify and resolve production schedule interruptions - Manage capacity planning for specific production cells to meet S&OP targets
- Ensure that all schedules can be processed efficiently by managing MRP II system issues for that product
- Supports New Product Introduction (NPI)
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of supply chain or manufacturing-related work experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills Required
- Microsoft Access or other DB skills desired
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Familiarity with company manufacturing facilities, processes, and equipment
- Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles
- CPS Functional Job Role Qualified
- APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience, is desired
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization, and communication skills
- Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures
- Familiarity with engineering, manufacturing and maintenance standards and practices
This position will cover both Booneville and Corinth facilities.
