As a Market Professional for IPSD Aftermarket Services Development (C0.5-C18 engines), you will focus on aftermarket growth for engines in Caterpillar machine applications and other E&T commercial engine industries.
JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for development and execution of initiatives to grow engine parts & services sales. The role of this assignment is that of an individual contributor who can manage regional & global engine aftermarket growth projects and serve as engine subject matter expert to Cat sales execution teams and dealers. They must work across various functional business units along with sales teams, districts, dealers and customers.
Duties may include:
Developing and delivering new products and programs globally or regionally
Lead teams and training for specific projects and/or purpose
Segmenting, targeting and positioning market opportunities to gain market share
Gathering and providing VOC, VOD and competitive analysis to the engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, pricing and logistics teams
Developing, coordinating and presenting training materials to various audiences
Mentor team members within broader Parts & Service organization
Works along with senior management in planning major programs and objectives for the Division
Drive Promotional Strategy / coordination
Understand component value story
Partner with internal Cat organizations to align strategies
Must have ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences. Good human relations skills are required to develop a collaborative, cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the business unit. Generally, requires extensive travel to understand regional or worldwide business conditions.
Basic Requirements:
College or University degree
6-10 years of engine product and/or field experience
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Specific E&T product or construction industry knowledge
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders at all levels
Previous 6 Sigma Black Belt or project management experience
Candidate must demonstrate Caterpillar’s values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence and Teamwork
Ability to deal with sensitive issues, mentor and coach, and/or persuade others on new methods of equipment application, new technology and distribution methods.
Self-starter and team player
Strong communication, presentation and training skills
Proficiency in data analysis

Demonstrated entrepreneurial zeal
