New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Lead - ePowertrains
As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Lead, you will lead a Business Unit wide multi-functional team which manages all phases of the NPI process for assigned electric powertrain (ePowertrain) products. ePowertrains include a power source such as battery or fuel cell, power electronics, and electric drivetrain components combined via controls into an electric powertrain system.
Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Leads activities defining NPI Program deliverables, scope, timelines, and investment. This position creates and drives the day-to-day program execution and is responsible for identifying improvement opportunities that exist across each of the different NPI processes and executing strategies to address them.
Creates, leads and coordinates NPI Gate Reviews and other stakeholder reviews.
Acts as the link between the product, quality process, manufacturing, and go-to-market teams, ensuring end-to-end alignment and execution.
Identifies opportunities and determines technology enhancements which offer cost/value improvements for the customer.
Accountable to deliver technical, financial, and supply chain excellence for a program.
Negotiates changes to programs including cost, price, supplier selection, etc. Directs changes required due to performance or reliability problems.
Provides input into departmental marketing strategies for assigned products and markets. Acts as the NPI expert in supporting all project teams.
In this position, you will lead the L5 ePowertrain teams that execute the NPI process for Construction Industry (CI) machine products (compact, small and medium-sized off-highway earthmoving equipment). You will collaborate with L4 teams, L5 Tech Leads, Product Groups, and L6 validation teams. You will play a key role in leading key programs from Launch to GW7 with a keen eye on Quality, Time, and Investment of the programs.
This position will be expected to run multiple NPI programs simultaneously and participate in product strategy. You will be responsible for identifying and finding improvement opportunities that exist across each of the different processes and executing strategies to address them with a focus on APQP: converting requirements to DFMEA, STCW, DVP&R, and validation execution.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in in Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering.
Eight to eleven years of progressively responsible job-related experience.
Strong commercial, business, engineering, and/or manufacturing skills.
Understanding of product test & development, materials, accounting, and pricing functions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and good leadership and team management capabilities.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Strong desire and demonstrated ability to drive innovation and outside-the-box thinking.
Prior experience on NPI Programs - program lead, team member, sub-team leader etc.
Experience with machine design principles, and/or component, system, or machine validation.
Experience with mining and/or quarry and aggregate powertrains, machines, or applications.
Experience with low and/or medium voltage electric powertrain introduction.
Demonstrated ability to work across the matrix.
Experience with Lean Product Development practices.
Additional Information:
This position is a hybrid role (3 days on-site/2 days off-site), providing flexibility and freedom to work from a location away from the office, while also enabling the opportunity to collaborate in person as needed.
This position is located in Peoria, IL or Aurora, IL.

This position may require travel up to 15%.
