Under general supervision supports current product production through the testing and repair of BCP machines according to the specifications from Engineering. Tests and validates production machines according to Engineering protocols. Performs carious activities to test for proper operations and quality issues of BCP machines, performing necessary rework and repair when issues are found. May coordinate CSD compliance through coordination of offline WIP activity and other duties as assigned. This is a 3rd Shift Product Support 1 with an entry pay of $20.86/hour plus shift premium of 8%. located in Sanford, NC. Benefits on Day one! Uses various tools provided in the work area to perform assembly duties and may include the use of lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs. Follows documented procedures standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free assembly and/or adjustment of components and prime product. May conduct assembly on new product introductions according to engineering schematics Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work Define, communicate, and verify daily rework activities Relies on independent decision-making and problem solving to complete job tasks Active participation in scheduling and confirming rework activities Must meet deadlines Ability to multitask and prioritize work Monitor CAT computer system to conduct hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, or other component tests on BCP machines Catalogues defects and resolution in computer-based system Conduct additional diagnostics and analysis to identify defects and quality issues that are more complex Catalogues failures and communicates to relevant personnel as appropriate Scheduling shipment of prime product ensuring CSD compliance Working knowledge of Caterpillar systems, ATRS, PSPS, STAR Cross-function communication to complete tasks Effective teamwork Provide summaries to leadership Basic Qualifications: 12 months of heavy equipment machine assembly experience Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, ability to perform repetitive operations, ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
