Position Summary:
The Mobile Crisis Team Lead will have responsibility for providing direct oversight of the program and service-related duties and support to Mobile Crisis Intervention Team (MCI) case management and peer-certified counseling staff members through modeling appropriate behaviors, training staff members, chart monitoring, and daily schedule adherence, in addition to providing direct crisis intervention services with individuals seeking services on a walk-in basis. The Team Lead provides Mobile Crisis follow-up support services to individuals experiencing acute emotional crises, with the goal to stabilize the individual's crises in the least restrictive setting possible and support them through follow-up services that ensure the client is connected or reconnected to all available and eligible services. Appropriately utilizes crisis intervention techniques within the scope of practice for individual and community stabilization.

Responsibilities:
Team Lead Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Providing direction, modeling appropriate behavior, training, and guidance of case management
  • Peer-certified counseling staffing, and secondary Designated Crisis responders providing services in the community.
  • Assist in monitoring currently enrolled follow-up client charts, inventory, and ordering of needed program supplies.
  • inventory and purchasing of program food and meal items, assisting in the assessment of the program, and identifying areas of improvement. 
Provides direct supervision to consumers:
  • Documents congruently whenever possible and completed all notes by the end of the business day. 
  • Provides treatment planning and ensures quick and efficient transfer to outpatient services.
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources.
  • Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and educates individuals on matters requiring informed consent.
Culture of Collaboration:
  • Works with the Associate Director of Crisis Services to ensure integration and collaboration. 
  • Identifies and prioritizes issues, problems, and concerns that need to be addressed and resolved. 
Support daily operations of Mobile Crisis:
  • Reports to Crisis potential safety concerns, seek out psychiatric or other consultation if indicated, and proactively addresses safety issues with staff.
  • Supports in implementing and enforcing procedures to maximize safety for consumers and staff served. 
  • Attends Catholic Charities Meetings when asked or as required by the Manager.
  • Supports workforce to staff Mobile Outreach Team (MOT).
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of quality services; consistently looks for better ways to perform job duties, makes appropriate changes, and participates in relevant quality improvement projects.

Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
This position normally requires physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting, or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, talking, and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time. The position also requires the ability to drive with adequate vision and skill.

Non-Physical Requirements:
Education:
  • Master's Degree in Mental Health, counseling, social work, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Mental Health in the provision of crisis services and/or services to the seriously mentally ill population.
  • 2 years experience providing successful clinical supervision and team leadership.
Special Skills:
  • Knowledge of Behavioral Health Care delivery to adults.
  • Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes for Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Services.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish objectives and achieve expected results.
  • Strong stabilization skills.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills for communicating with persons served of all ages and staff.
  • Uses the computer effectively and adheres to Catholic Charities standards, following the agency's security policies and procedures.
  • Recognizes cultural, racial, and other issues that impact treatment, relationships, and communications, and integrates that knowledge to work effectively with different cultures.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Uses a strength-based approach with staff and promotes a positive work environment.
  • Ability to represent the agency in a professional manner within the community.
  • Understands and adheres to Catholic Charities philosophy and expectations for professional service.
Licensure, Registration, and Certification:
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and agency minimum required liability insurance.
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration, is required.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Current Designation as a Designated Crisis Responder.
Employment is conditional upon:
  • Being cleared by a criminal background check and fingerprinting when required.
