I. IDENTIFYING INFORMATION

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Reports to: Agency Director
Supervises: 11 Full Time Employees
II. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The Program Director has oversight responsibility for staff members, evaluating manpower load, creating program content, implementing and planning work schedules. Program Director assures the facility is in compliance with all local, state and federal agencies as well as with Feeding America and our third-party audit company AIB International. The Program Director is a leader with budget responsibilities to sustain the Foodbank and its programs, to advocate for food security for all and collaborate with other departments of Catholic Charities Terre Haute to provide support when necessary for the overall sustainability of the organization.
III. POSITION CONTENT
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A. Provide leadership, guidance and oversight for the Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank (THCCF) Team.
B. Hires and directly supervises THCCF Management Team and all other staff positions.
C. Responsible for the overall planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of operations for the Foodbank that are consistent with Catholic Charities Terre Haute’s (CCTH) mission and vision, Feeding America requirements, as well as other funder requirements.
D. Responsible for organization, personnel and equipment compliance under the THCCF Policies and Procedures.
E. Ensures that all THCCF programs are operated in compliance with either CCTH, Feeding America, IDHS and/or funder requirements.
F. Responsible for projecting a positive image of the organization in the community.
G. Effectively identifies problems, takes appropriate corrective actions or makes timely notification to the THCCF/CCTH Agency Director for areas beyond the Foodbank's control.
H. Learn and develop a working knowledge of Bar Code Scanning System, MS Navison Ceres Warehouse Inventory software and Security systems.
Major Responsibilities and Regular Activities of Position:
1. Participates in organization management team and collaborates with other managers toward achieving organization initiatives.
2. Works with assigned staff on program reports, reviews, edits and submits to Agency Director/Assistant Agency Director.
3. Responsible for staff training, updates and updates.
4. Responsible for monitoring electronic timekeeping of THCCF staff.
5. Responsible for maintaining multiple relationships with service providers, internally and externally.
6. Represents the organization throughout the community and in the media on department related topics, as requested by Assistant Agency Director/Agency Director.
7. Maintains open communications and relationships with governmental units, community agencies, and volunteers groups.
8. Acts as an advocate for hunger/food insecurity issues at the local, state, and national level.
9. Provides guidance/support to the THCCF Advisory Council.
10. Other duties as necessary to ensure efficient functioning of the Foodbank.

B. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
V. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The Program Director works in a warehouse and office environment. The physical demand of the job includes the following conditions:
· Loud noise, extreme heat/cold, working in various weather conditions.
· Physical demands: Bending/ stooping/ stretching/ climbing/ walking/ standing/ sitting/ lifting 50 lbs. occasionally.
· Normally business hours however there are occasional weekends and evenings. Annual training and conferences that require out of town travel a few times each year.
· Must be able to read and edit spreadsheets, email and other related tools related to the role
· Must be able to process and maintain large volumes of documentation
· Must be able to communicate extensively and effectively with staff and vendors via telephone/TDD, one-on-one conversations, face-to-face, public presentations, and written correspondence
· Must be able to sit or stand for extensive periods of time and navigate through the office
· Must be able to function within a moderate noise level office environment
