Overview
The Forensics Coach will revitalize and oversee the Forensics Team at FGR, which has a record of success at the State level in the recent past. The coach will recruit, mentor, and supervise team members and oversee all logistics of participation in practices and competitions. The coach will emphasize developing necessary skills and sportsmanship on the team to create a formative experience for all participants.

Qualifications
- Educational: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Speech Communications.
- Personal:
- Qualified Catholic in good standing;
- Has a passion for bringing youth into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ;
- Ability to work cooperatively with administration, teaching staff, students and parents; in the ongoing task of providing the best possible education for all students
- Willingness to accept constructive criticism;
- Ability to function under stress;
- Evidenced planning ability; and
- Adaptable to changing situations
Major Responsibilities
- The FGR Forensics team is looking for an individual with public speaking and mentoring experience interested in coaching. The coach will be responsible for:
- Attending weekly Thursday meetings after school
- Registering for competitions
- Attending 5-7 Saturday competitions (and one Friday-Saturday competition) in the spring
- Helping students with the editing and performance of their speeches

Performance for this position will be evaluated by the FGR Principal.
