We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs. As a Medical Physicist, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, working closely with radiation oncologists, radiologists, and other medical professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy and imaging services. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and patient safety in all aspects of medical physics.
CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is a 280-bed, faith-based, non-profit, Magnet Accredited facility committed to providing quality health care to patients and communities. As the only level II trauma center in the southwest part of the state, we are the regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neuro, ortho, oncology, and critical care/pulmonary. We have earned top patient safety ratings from Leapfrog and were recently named one of the nation's 50 top cardiovascular hospitals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee quality assurance and quality control procedures for radiation therapy and imaging equipment.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and radiologists to develop treatment plans and imaging protocols.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards related to radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging.
- Implement and maintain radiation safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and the public.
- Troubleshoot and address technical issues related to equipment and treatment planning systems.
- Stay current with advancements in medical physics and technology and participate in continuing education.
We are offering a competitive compensation package, including a $25,000 sign on bonus and relocation assistance.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Medical Physics required.
- Board eligible or certified by the ABR in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
- Knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and best practices.
- 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Experience with Linac-based SRS and SBRT preferred.
- Experience with Linear Accelerators, Aria, and Eclipse preferred.
