Kitchen Aide

The Kitchen Aide performs cleaning duties in kitchen, washes pots, buses employee lounge trays, transports food carts, pours coffee, and handles stock. Removes garbage, mops floors, and replaces supplies and utensils. Performs other related duties and tasks as may be assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Responds appropriately to the special needs of each group served specific to age, language, gender, culture, religion/spirituality, economic background, education or literacy, developmental or cognitive disabilities, physical and developmental disabilities.
• Employee aids in the orientation of new employees
• Follows established policies and procedures for setting up 3 compartment sink
• Accurately obtains and records PPE's for sanitizing solution.
• Properly operates/cleans dish machine.
• Ensures that supplies are properly stocked and maintained in the dietary department in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensures that work/assignment areas are clean and equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks and at the end of the work day.
• Follows sanitation policies for handling, storing food in such a manner to minimize any cross contamination.
• Delivers food trucks to the proper locations.
• Cleans/sanitizes all equipment according to policy.
• Brings garbage to compactor and empties.
• Cleans and sanitizes garbage pails.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Able to complete assignments within allotted time.
• Able to adjust to changes and re-assignments.
• Able to perform tasks without direction or help.
Requirements:
• High school graduate or equivalent; or High school student
• Basic computer skills
• Able to follow written and verbal directions with basic literacy in English
