Laboratory Technician
Responsible for performing a variety of clinical tests; performs various biochemical, microscopic, blood bank and/or bacteriological test to obtain data for use in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Associates degree in Medical Technology from an accredited school required. Successful experience and/or training covering several fields of medical laboratory work of not less than 6 months preferred. Good oral and written communication skills essential. Certification by internship and examination from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Medical Laboratory Technician desired. Must be licensed as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician under the New York State Department of Education.
