What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker for OB/GYN Clinic position at Catholic Health?
Our Social Workers are responsible for:
- Providing a wide range of services for patients and their families, such as discharge planning and supportive counseling; maintain involvement with patients and families and participate in team meetings, assessments and evaluations
- Staying informed of the latest professional practices and trends and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work required.
- Minimum of 2 years medical social work preferred.
- New York State Social Work Licensure required (LMSW).
- A minimum of three years' experience in an acute healthcare setting is required.
- Outpatient/clinic experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, EPIC and Midas documentation.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff in a verbal or written manner.
- Ability to organize information
- Knowledge of all rules and regulations of child abuse/neglect reporting as appropriate.
- Documented experience and knowledge of two direct practice modalities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must read, write and speak English to the extent required by position; knowledge of second language preferred
