Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

Cat-i Glass is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor that is a leader ready to take immediate action to meet and exceed all objectives. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across three shifts for three facilities. Emphasis on achieving safety excellence through promotion of a proactive safety culture, supervision and assignment of maintenance personnel, scheduling preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime, troubleshooting machine problems, and implementing repairs and solutions that allow for quality product to be produced in a safe environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Oversight of daily maintenance operations – including preventative maintenance schedules, staffing/assignment of maintenance personnel, and ensuring that equipment is properly cleaned and in good working order.
• Efficiently leading the Maintenance Team
• Maintain and improve the process machinery
• Troubleshoot machine problems, including determining the root cause and implementing solutions to minimize downtime
• Perform mechanical and/or electrical repairs on manufacturing equipment
• Design, fabricate, and repair various machine parts and guards
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulatory matters including OSHA
• Work with outside vendors to source machine components and perform machine repair services
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees to meet current and future business requirements
• Other similar duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5 years experience in a maintenance management role
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to make necessary repairs to those systems
• Must be able to lead a team and organize and influence people to create a sense of purpose and direction
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
• Ability to drive cultural change from break/fix/preventative maintenance to predictive maintenance
• Ability to identify problems with AC and DC drives, as well as PC and PLC
• Ability to design and fabricate new parts, as well redesign existing parts
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
• Experience with budget management and contract negotiations with outside vendors
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed
• Must be able to respond to emergencies in a timely fashion
• Must have a valid driver’s license
