Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis – G&A

CAVA is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team, a role critical to our dynamic and evolving business landscape. In this position, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, working collaboratively with the Accounting, Finance, and Business Partners across the organization to drive strategic decisions. You'll play a pivotal role in our budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and investment planning, ensuring we make data-driven decisions for our thriving enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities, thriving in a fast-paced environment that offers exposure to a diverse array of financial disciplines.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a key finance business partner, working closely with key stakeholders on budgeting, actuals, variance explanations, and ROI decisions
  • Assist in the monthly G&A performance reporting for key departments
  • Establish new processes and solutions to scale G&A planning and reporting
  • Identify opportunities for investment planning and prioritization improvements in G&A
  • Conduct ad hoc research and analysis as needed for Finance and Leadership
  • Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring all G&A related expenses are captured in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide strategic and annual financial planning, modeling, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of operating expenses to the G&A organization
  • Assist with the Project Approval Request (PAR) process and manage large spend requests
  • Support data-driven ad-hoc analyses across the organization
  • Assist in financial decision-making on key initiatives helping drive the future of the business

 

 

 

The Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Experience in G&A management, including familiarity with general accounting concepts such as prepaid expenses, accruals, and deferrals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in an understandable manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and produce actionable insights
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization
  • Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Netsuite, Vena, Oracle) a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment. 
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details. 
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively. 
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable. 
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
