What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Cavist?

We are looking for someone who has the skills to be a *Quality Engineer *to join our dedicated and knowledgeable team.
We are looking for someone who is an experienced *Quality Engineer*. This person has strong technical writing capabilities and an appreciation for QMS and regulatory requirements, in addition to aptitude in mechanical or electrical engineering concepts to be used in part quality problem solving. This position works closely with suppliers, production, procurement, engineering, program managers, and other functional managers / supervisors to comply with customer requirements by monitoring material quality while driving improvements in quality and process control.
What’s required?
* Minimum: One (1) year of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment to include auditing and repair processes
* At least one (1) year of experience working in an ISO, TL, AS, TS Certified facility
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
* Certified Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred
* ASQ certified quality engineer or equivalent certification and training preferred
* High proficiency with calibrated devices and in computers especially Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word and Excel
What’s it all about? The *Quality Engineer *will:
* Support the new production introduction process in developing supplier quality plans, work instructions, control plans, etc.
* Develop inspection methods/tools/criteria to analyze product quality that meet customer specifications
* Drive part quality issue resolution to increase yield and profitability while working with other departments as necessary
* Develop supplier quality performance data, reports, graphs, and other metrics as required
* Develop Corrective / Preventive action reports as required for supplier and internal issues / opportunities
* Assist QA Manager with root cause analysis during CAPA process
* Assist QA Manager with PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation
* Ensure that quality issue solutions are compliant with:
* Customer requirements
* QMS/Cavist procedural requirements
* Regulatory requirements where applicable
* Work closely with all areas in developing and maintaining compliance to the Quality Management System, and other company standards
* Ability to create and manage documents and document control activities
