Job Summary
The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Housekeeping Supervisor, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Job Responsibilities
The Housekeeper assumes daily responsibility in the following areas:
- Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
- Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
- Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
- Ensure that all equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times.
- Follow all cleaning schedules and policies established by the facility.
- Keep supervisor informed of supply needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and policies carefully.
- Attend required in-services, or other required meetings.
- Perform other tasks, duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to make decisions independently, to follow directions and communicate effectively with other team members.
- Physically capable of doing work that requires frequent lifting, standing, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, compassionate, and ready to help as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have good references from previous employers.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
