Copywriter

Can you turn and burn exceptional, error-free copy? The CBDfx family of brands is looking for a highly talented copywriter to write and edit SEO-friendly copy for the hottest CBD brand on the market today. At CBDfx, you’ll join a young, fun, successful and super-fast moving company, full of creative people dedicated to bringing high-quality CBD products to markets around the globe. Wellness is at the heart of everything we do—from gummies and capsules to tinctures and topicals, we’re constantly innovating to create the most effective CBD products available.

As Copywriter, you will work with the Editorial Director to write and edit hemp and wellness-themed blog articles for CBDfx.com and CBD.co, as well as the sites for other brands in the CBDfx family. You will also write and edit paid articles for third-party sites, making expert use of anchor text, backlinks, and other tools to drive traffic and improve searchability. You will write and edit product and collection copy for company websites, as well as emails and other marketing materials. You’ll thoroughly understand our brand voice and deliver it in a manner that engages, excites, and delights our audience. In addition, you will masterfully optimize all copy for Google search.

Skill Set

• You’re a gifted writer who can straddle the line between authoritative and approachable, delivering informative copy in a friendly, engaging, and even entertaining manner for the reader
• You thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and have experience managing a high volume of work across multiple campaigns
• You have a strong understanding of SEO best practices
• You’re an eagle-eyed proofreader who never misses a typo and obsessively fact-checks everything that crosses your desk
• You understand the importance of brand voice and can mold your writerly voice to match it
• You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Requirements

• You have a strong writing and editorial background with 3 years of professional experience
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field is required
• Portfolio demonstrating strong writing abilities across multiple channels, including digital, blog or other longform work, email, and product copy must be provided
• You have impeccable attention to detail
• CBD, cannabis, alcohol, pharmaceutical or other heavily regulated industry experience a plus
• Ability to work in Google docs; experience with Wordpress and/or HTML a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
