Peer Support Specialist- ACT Team 00471

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is the premiere non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models.

We currently seek a Peer Support Specialist for our Heritage- ACT team within Maricopa County, based out of the West Valley.

Peer Support Specialist (PSS) will work as part of the of the clinical team dedicated to SMI clients. The PSS coordinates services based on daily staffing with other members of the clinical team, and provides experience, strength, and hope to individuals, their families, and significant others.

Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to behavioral health OR a combination of education, training, and/or experience meeting CBI Clinical Policies and Procedure standards for BHT.  
• One year of experience working with the SMI population with additional experience in multiple settings and levels of care, including both mental health and substance abuse. 
• One year of experience in a behavioral health position providing outreach and engagement activities. 
• Ability to pass criminal background check for jail visitation/clearance. 
• Valid AZ Driver’s License with 39 month clear MVR
• Must have (or have the ability to obtain) an AZ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card by 1st day of work

The Peer Support Specialist is an individual who is in recovery from substance use and/or GMH for an appropriate period of time, greater than or equal to 1 year.

This position requires that the candidate is an experienced Peer Support Specialist.
