Founded in 2006, CBIZ Optumas works primarily with State Medicaid agencies and Medicaid Managed Care Plans, providing guidance and strategy to help them remain efficient and effective purchasers of healthcare Services. The Team:
CBIZ Optumas takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managing Directors.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
Facilitates client meetings, client presentations and internal team meetings.
Independently determines methodologies and approach for project.
Lead the development of client deliverables including written documents.
Manage timelines including completion of client deliverables (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.).
Ensures all work products are technically peer reviewed and submitted for consulting review.
Actively communicates project status updates with internal team (junior and senior members).
Act as a resource for support staff.
Supports business development activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, business, economics, finance, health policy, statistics, or a related field
Certified Actuary - 10 years of relevant experience in a professional environment performing actuarial, data, financial or health care related analyses and consulting
- Expertise using Microsoft Office suite
- Thorough understanding of health care delivery, with emphasis on Medicaid
- Experience working within a team environment
- Ability to communicate, present findings and recommendations to other team members in a clear format
- Must be able to comprehend, manipulate and interpret statistical data
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Local candidates in the greater Phoenix area
