JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a multifaceted and highly motivated individual that is seeking a position with the global leader in commercial real estate services. The purpose of this position is to provide complex research, data mining/analysis, build dashboards from new and existing data, maintain existing dashboards, and perform data mining/analysis, reporting and interpretation of global, national, regional, local and/or account company performance metrics.

You will be working closely with leadership to collect requirements, design reports, and present data to ensure our stakeholders make the best business decisions. You will also maintain and troubleshoot published solutions, and work to continuously improve the team by finding opportunities to improve our data pipelines.

A senior analyst works closely with our clients and project management team to automate data collection from source operational systems, aggregate and standardize the information in a data warehouse, and develop dashboards that generate relevant client insights. You will lead projects to collect the requisite client real estate data, build and refine cost models using CBRE tools, and present a significant financial story in formal reports and briefings.

Additionally, this role may help our clients develop budgets, benchmark facility operating costs, and predict upcoming capital requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a broad set of abilities across five key categories: Microsoft Power Platform, experience in data modeling and relational databases, project management, strong client-facing communications, and knowledge of the corporate real estate outsourcing industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design dashboards for based on the constantly evolving needs of a fast paced business.

Find and ingest data sources.

Develop front-ends for data entry.

Develop new features for existing solutions.

Modernize legacy solutions to adapt to our growing account.

Develop data structures and pipelines to coordinate, collect, cleanse, and standardize data to generate insights and address reporting needs.

Identify opportunities to improve data usage, applying modeling and optimization methods to develop new strategies and improve business performance.

Coordinates and collaborate with other teams and information technology groups to facilitate successful project implementations.

Perform both technical lead and project manager responsibilities for business intelligence projects.

Create, maintain and optimize creative data visualizations and dashboards (primarily in PowerBI and Tableau) to derive concrete intelligence.

Provide domain expertise on data-related processes and analyses.

Collect business and data requirements to ensure inclusion in the solution.

Present progress and results to clients (both in-person and virtually) and collects feedback for revisions.

Prepare formal presentations and/or written reports describing project methodology, scope, key assumptions, and results.

Collaborate with CBRE’s Digital and Technology team to implement automated technical solution for business intelligence projects.

Designs, generates, reviews and understands reports. Uses aggregate data from multiple sources to create a complete analysis, improvement and/or recommendation(s).

Prepares and presents results of analysis and reports along with their relative impact(s) to the business to all levels of management.

Acts as project lead, including supervisory and/or managerial activities, in the coordination of the analyst team to successfully complete specified projects.

Develops scenario planning tools/models (exit/maintain/grow). Prepares forecasts and analyzes trends in general business conditions.

Identifies opportunities for improvements by and among the clients and/or companies.

Reviews accuracy of information provided and responds to requests from management and vendors.

Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions.

Coordinates involvement of personnel from other departments and information technology groups to facilitate successful project implementations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams plan and supervise assignments of junior employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

None. PMP certification and/or Lean 6-sigma green belt preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYTICS

Excellent data management, manipulation, and analysis skills. Ability to create integrated data models from disparate sources. Understanding of relational databases. Highly skilled in dashboard design and development. Power BI and Tableau skills are required. Proficiency in database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server is preferred. Previous data mining experience preferred.

Ability to query and analyze data from disparate sources. Solve and resolve data failures by identifying and analyzing the situation and provide corrective actions. Ability to troubleshoot sophisticated problems, conflicting priorities and technical issues in a timely manner.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint administration Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.

Generally Tech savvy; keeps abreast of the latest technology trends and advances.

Attention to timeliness, detail, communications and writing skills are a must.

Advance experience in MS Office Products (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, etc). Ability to use query and report generation tools. Self-service/web based application experience desired.
