What We Need: We’re looking for an experienced Anchor/Reporter What You'll Do: Gather news from the wires and other media Pull audio and prepare for air in the newscasts Write newscasts and anchor the news Manage information; keeping all facts straight, making sure details are accurate and current, and tracking any changes Maintain crucial deadlines in order to provide news updates in a timely fashion May prepare written content, visual images, audio material and video footage for websites, blogs, or other social-media platforms What You'll Need: Knowledge of the Mervin Block style of writing Ability to run your own audio board Experience with Microsoft Office, including MS Word Pleasant, charismatic and well-controlled voice; excellent pronunciation Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, newsroom Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Must be willing to work weekends Previous on-air broadcast experience is preferred but not required Journalism degree is preferred but not required What You'll Bring: Write news Anchor newscasts Problem solving skills within established procedures Understanding of when to seek guidance for unforeseen problems Close attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to act in a professional manner and collaborate with colleagues of different levels Compensation: Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data. $23.20 - $31.90 Location: Burbank, CA: 3400 West Olive Avenue, Suite 550, 91505 Position Type: Regular Time Type: Part time Pay Type: Hourly Benefits: iHeartMedia’s benefits offering is flexible and offers a variety of choices to meet the diverse needs of our changing workforce, including the following: Employer sponsored medical, dental and vision with a variety of coverage options (employees meeting ACA measurement) A 401K plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost – services include telephonic counseling sessions, consultation on legal and financial matters, emotional well-being, family and caregiving A range of additional voluntary programs, such as spending accounts, student loan refinancing, accident insurance and more!
