They will learn the full spectrum of skills and competencies required for process engineering and PET production, will assist in the planning and implementation of new production lines, coordinate with project managers to ensure appropriate platforms and processes are selected for new products, and will diagnose, troubleshoot, & solve production process issues. They will also learn and follow Altium’s guiding principles and good manufacturing practices. • Support implementation of new PET production lines and related processes • Install, adjust, and repair blow mold machines, preforms, molds, trimmers, palletizers, and other related equipment • Troubleshoot, locate root-problems and repair blow mold, baggers & support equipment through new production line implementations • Support use of Altium’s process control systems for PET manufacturing • Support development of new products and develop processes for plastic forming processes and secondary processes • Assist plant leaders and engineering during transfer of new processes to production • Assist in conducting experiments and data analyses to define new process parameters and control limits • Resolve routine technical problems and execute solutions within developed timelines • Troubleshoot process problems, and perform maintenance to ensure continued operation of production lines. • Perform repairs, preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery and plant blow mold equipment. • Operate blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. • Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin and other equipment changes • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies • Communicate with other departments on a frequent basis • Other duties as assigned by management Required Education and Experience • 4 years of maintenance or related technical experience (Technical high school, farm/agricultural experience acceptable) • Interest in a long-term career in engineering & manufacturing • Basic mathematical skills • Basic computer experience • High School Degree, GED, or equivalent • Ability to travel 65% of the year Preferred Education and Experience • Associates Degree • PET Blowmolding experience • Maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry • Machine Operator Experience We Believe in Rewarding our Most Important Resource – Our People!
