We are seeking a New Business Sales Executive to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, develop new business sales strategies, and coordinate with internal Engineering Services teams to drive new business with maximum recurring revenue potential.
Responsibilities
- Exercise initiative to seek out and close new business opportunities for Engineering Services service offerings with a focus on adding monthly recurring revenue.
- Achieve required sales goals, gross profit, and recurring revenue objectives as agreed upon between the Director of Business Development and the VP of Engineering Services.
- Organize and drive sales initiatives with engineering team.
- Ability to train on the full range of services that we have and then sell these service offerings.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with potential customers.
- Upon closing, turn over project/project relevant data to operations team and maintain customer contact to ensure satisfaction of services rendered.
- Complete and submit all required reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure the pricing structure for all services is profitable and within approved gross profit guidelines.
- Identify and report on industry trends about services offered or potential new services that might be developed including in parallel industries.
- Responsible for identifying and reporting on competitor activity.
- Represent company at community functions, trade shows, speaking engagements, etc.
- Self-organized processes to maintain documentation and customer correspondence on all opportunities.
- Promptly follow-up on leads generated by marketing efforts.
- Maintain accurate and up to date prospect and opportunity information in the CRM and report to management as requested.
- Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and situation.
- Attend training sessions and perform other duties as directed by the Director of Business Development.
- Existing relationships with Service Providers a plus/preferred.
Qualifications we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3 years new business sales experience required; 5 years preferred.
- Relationships in relevant field with ability to drive new business through existing relationships.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Familiarity with use of a CRM to support sales pipeline and activity management.
- Sales skills which demonstrate the ability to organize, develop, implement, and manage sales programs and processes.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate well, both written and verbally, with customers, employees, colleagues, etc.
- Ability to meet deadlines and/or targets and able to work under pressure or high stress.
- Comfortable with virtual as well as face to face selling.
- Ability to function in a start-up like environment where processes are being refined.
Shift is full-time Monday – Friday, between the hours of 7:00 am – 5:00 pm CST. Must be flexible, and willing to work outside normal business hours, as necessary.
Additional Information
- Up to 75% of travel may be required – Must have valid driver’s license.
