Role Overview: As a Workers' Compensation Claim Consultant, you will be responsible for investigating and adjusting assigned claims. This position may serve as advanced training for future senior-level roles.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Investigate, evaluate, and adjust claims in adherence to established standards and laws.
- Establish reserves and provide reserve recommendations.
- Review and approve invoices for medical, legal, and damage estimates.
- Negotiate settlements, supervise claim files sent to outside vendors, and assess subrogation claims.
- Ensure effective communication with clients, claimants, and relevant parties throughout the adjustment process.
- Prepare reports, compute disability rates, and attend hearings and mediations when necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Five or more years of claims experience.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Adjuster's license required.
Additional Requirements:
- NJ and PA workers' compensation claims experience is required.
- MD and DE adjusters licenses or willingness to learn the jurisdiction.
