Medical Assistant

Location: Morris Neighborhood Health Center for Innovation in Children's Health Department: Morris Neighborhood Clinic Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Medical Assistant I role functions under the clinical supervision of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider in a primary care practice. This individual assists in the preparation and delivery of patient care as directed by the provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Clinical duties are skillfully and consistently performed per established clinical policy and procedure. Education & Experience High school diploma required Required: Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification Minimum 1-year experience in outpatient pediatric practice or equivalent family practice outpatient preferred (as determined by department), or immediately post-externship in a pediatrics practice or clinic setting Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification National certification preferred Current CPR certification required About Cook Children’s: Our not-for-profit organization is comprised of a flagship medical center in Fort Worth, Texas, a new medical center in Prosper, Texas, a physician network, home health company, surgery centers, health plan, health services, and health foundation.
