Position: Software Engineer II
Location: Quantico, Virginia
Type: Full-Time
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
The SE II is expected to write, debug, and implement code for internal web-based systems. The SE II will collaborate with others to write effective, scalable code to meet automation and data presentation requirements. The SE II will perform peer reviews and participate in regular architecture and design meetings.
In this role, you will:
- Know multiple programming languages that are necessary to meet a diverse set of requirements.
- The Contractor must be familiar with a variety of scripts, programming languages, and operating systems. Examples of relevant computer programming languages currently used to design and deploy components include, but are not limited to:
- JavaScript
- Python
- Utilizing software applications, modules, and databases in various languages, including those associated with scientific, technical, or engineering problems.
- Writing programs that achieve a desired outcome or workflow from nothing more than observation of desired outcomes, workflows, or from vague original concepts
- Developing and writing original website and database applications that model existing workflow into automated systems
- Familiarity with techniques to interact with data stored in PostgreSQL, and other Database (DB) formats.
- Must be familiar with using a GIT repository

- Writing programs that achieve a desired outcome or workflow from nothing more than observation of desired outcomes, workflows, or from vague original concepts
- Producing specifications and design documentation including:
- Process Flow, Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Physical Architecture, System and Web Service Interface Specifications, Data Dictionary, Data Model
- Creating project work estimates
- Implementing solutions and identify operational or management issues
- Systems designing, policy development, and database development and management, and user interface development
- Utilizing available Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software to the maximum extent practicable in designing software applications, avoiding implementation of a proprietary system.
- Knowledge of Information Security Systems (ISS) and security standards of Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) and classified data.
- Knowledge of current Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA).
