Position Summary: Primary responsibilities include administering the activities relating to the company payroll, benefits and HRIS processing, including monitoring, and performing internal audit and control procedures to ensure that all wages, deductions, and taxes are accurate for all pay groups. Maintaining the Time & Attendance system administration and security.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Payroll & Benefits. The position location is flexible with limited travel.
Responsibilities
- Processing of bi-weekly payroll for multiple pay groups, including regular pay cycles, quarterly, year-end
- Manages the activities of ADP systems for status changes such as promotions, pay change, department and supervisor, qualifying events
- Ensures the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations is accurate in the ADP Workforce Now system for payroll and benefits
- Back up Leave Of Absence management as needed
- Ensure compliant with multi-state Federal, State, Local and others required applicable taxes
- Research multi- state tax issues and brings them to resolution with ADP Tax & Compliance
- Process and balance monthly commissions and incentives
- Maintains and process wage garnishments for multi-states
- Successfully planning and executing against deliverables for open enrollment
- Informs and guides employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage, and provisions
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions
- Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or benefits inquires to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.
- Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system
- Plans, conducts, and reports results of audits for payroll, Workers Comp and 401k and works closely with Accounting for quarterly and year end audits (payroll, Workers Comp, 401k, etc.).
- Partners with other HR functions as needed to provide solutions for clients
- Completes and submits weekly, monthly, and Ad Hoc reports accurately and in a timely fashion
- Ensure all payroll and benefits procedures are up-to-date
- Process biweekly 401k contributions, deferrals, loans file and weekly new hires/terms file
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
- Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
- Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements
- Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards

Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience administering payroll, benefits and HRIS processes or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, business administration or relevant field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Computer savvy with working knowledge of (ADP Workforce Now etc.)Excellent communication and consulting skillsStrong attention to detail
