Primary Functions: Provide administrative support to the Assistant States Attorneys assigned to the First Municipal division
Working Environment: Hours: Monday Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone calls, take messages and transfer calls to the appropriate party
- Respond to walk-ins and answer general questions
- Run background checks in LEADS
- Search case information in Odyssey
- Copy, scan and email documents
- Assist with special projects
- Fill in for the administrative partners as needed
- Maintain the reception area and desk space
- Interact and collaborate with various law enforcement agencies and advocacy groups
- Maintain visitor sign in sheets, victim logs, and library reservations
- Sort mail, packages, and greet and log paper, water, and large office supply deliveries
- Interact regularly with Sates Attorneys Office employees
- Interact with the public
- Maintain confidentiality of information and systems
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
Required:
- The candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and have the ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word applications
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of CRIMES, NICE, and SharePoint
- Typing speed of 50 wpm
