Nurse Practitioner- Cardiology Speciality

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with various cardiac conditions.

Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, and stress tests.

Administer medications and provide education to patients regarding prescribed treatments, lifestyle modifications, and disease management.

Monitor patients' progress, assess treatment effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.

Provide counseling and support to patients and their families, ensuring they are well-informed about their condition and involved in the decision-making process.

Participate in research activities, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education programs to stay up-to-date with advancements in cardiology.

Qualifications:

Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Connecticut with specialization in cardiology preferred.

Master's degree in Nursing

Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a cardiology setting, demonstrating expertise in diagnosing and managing cardiac conditions.

Strong knowledge of cardiology principles, treatments, and medications.

Excellent clinical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaborative relationships with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Ability to work autonomously while also being an effective team player.
