Control Systems Engineer
Client facility in Norco, LA.
Job Summary:
Will provides Technical Assurance on instrumentation and control projects. Performing and/or coordinating specific QA (Quality Assurance) audit activities, which ensure that engineering and design as well as fabrication, and construction deliverables comply with project specifications, design documents, applicable Codes/Regulations, and acceptable work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures alignment of project premise with long-term direction and strategy of department.
- Provides coordination of contract engineering personnel who are involved in project definition, execution, and commissioning.
- Provides direction during project scope development on cost effective solutions.
- Provides input to project estimate development.
- Provides input to Instrument and Control Design Basis.
- Provides input to discipline deliverables plan and accountable for delivery.
- Provides coordination of DCS / PLC system updates.
- Provides coordination of SIS (Safety Instrumented System) updates.
- Provides technical assurance for engineering contractor deliverables.
- Performs review and approval of Instrument Specifications.
- Performs review and approval of Instrument engineering construction packages.
- Accountable for functional testing of DCS, PLC and SIS modifications / additions.
Job Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical or Process Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Owner experience preferred (meaning experience at a Site).
- No specific software or DCS programming required.
