Mechanical Engineer

Deer Park, TX

9-80 work schedule- REMOTE ON MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS! 

Refers to developing, directing, problem solving, and applying technical, scientific, and mathematical knowledge and methods to design, implement, and achieve specified characteristics and criteria for products, processes, or events in the mechanical static engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Project Pressure equipment engineer.

Design activities concentrate on routine topics (guided by procedures or multiple precedents).

Works as an autonomous Discipline Engineer, translates the guidelines and standards into practice and solves common technical challenges.

Works within company standards and policies under defined directions while receiving occasional guidance on techniques

May hold Technical Authority TA3 if required by role

Integrates discipline activities to achieve delivery through a defined process.

Performs tasks within design, operation, or maintenance of facilities/plant, interfacing with stakeholders and managing contractors. Indicative: responsible for a budget - TO BE COMPLETED FOR EACH JOB DESCRIPTION, AS REQUIRED

Manages the relation with multiple (groups of) internal and external stakeholders on tactical level. Scale and severity of consequences if things go wrong are limited, involving some stakeholder management.

Qualifications

Mechanical Engineer experienced in Oil and Gas site support in running plant support or project support focused on fixed equipment.

Field Engineering / Construction / CSU. 

Develop Design, Specify and Review Pressure Vessels.

Develop, Design, Specify & Review Heat Exchanges & Other Process Equipment.

Piping System Design.

Valve Design & Specification / Data.

Design, Specify & Review Plot Plans & Equipment & Piping Arrangements.

Static Equipment Engineering Standards (Internal & External).

Materials of Construction.

Welding Systems & Specifications.

Education Requirements

Mechanical Engineer Degree
