CDI is currently hiring for the position of Production Manager, at our facility located in Tolleson, AZ.
Position Summary:
The primary duty of the Production Manager is to organize and oversee the start to finish manufacturing process of our curb adapters. This role is responsible for the smooth running of our manufacturing workflow and works in close conjunction with the Plant's leadership team such as the Plant, Logistics, and Office Managers. The Production Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager is and is a crucial part of the Plant's leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and requirements.
- Estimate costs and prepare budgets.
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Monitor production to resolve issues.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel.
- Determine the number of necessary resources (workforce, materials, etc.).
- Ensure output meets CDI quality standards.
- Work effectively with other members of the leadership team
- Report to upper management.
- Write and conduct performance reviews for the production team.
- review, investigate, and check off on timecard notes.
- Conduct interviews for production candidates
- Review and manage PTO requests for production team.
- Update employee information on HRIS systems (Paylocity) as necessary.
- Contribute to all-staff and leadership meetings on a daily basis.
- Perform 20/40/60-day check ins with new hires.
- Assist the Office Manager in onboarding new hires (safety expectations, shop walks, etc.)

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday
(Start and finish times are subject to change regularly along with the needs of our production team.)
** Please note that this position requires mandatory overtime as determined by the needs of our plant.**
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred)
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
- Basic understanding of blueprints and design schematics.
- Outstanding attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and strong time-management skills.
- Ability to understand work-orders and job schedules.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
- Have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Have the ability to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat, and lift.
- Have a deep knowledge of production management.
- Have experience in managing a team of 40 to 60 employees across all shifts.
- Understanding of quality standards as well as health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software.
- Outstanding ability to communicate effectively.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong decision-making skills with a results-driven approach.
- Have a strong knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
