What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Marketing position at CEC?

OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for translating CEC technology solutions into a cohesive marketing and brand strategy. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and product leaders, this individual will utilize their B2B marketing acumen to accelerate market penetration and brand building in targeted segments. Familiarity with communication channels, marketing communication technologies, and campaign development is a core competency of this leader. Extensive marketing technology including Pardot, SalesForce, and Google AdWords is a must for this digital-first focused marketing director.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

Manage segmented campaigns that support CEC revenue initiatives utilizing long-standing campaigns with Pardot and Salesforce.

Create a marketing strategy for CEC from market research through product roll out and promotion. This includes defining short term and 12 months deliverables, talent requirements, and budget.

Building impactful B2B multi-media campaigns to communicate CEC differentiated positioning throughout the sales cycle will be a primary deliverable.

Enhancing our geographic and vertical market awareness through event planning, industry partnerships, vendor partnerships and direct marketing to support prospecting.

Being the internal advocate of “WHOLE PRODUCT” messaging throughout the organization to align the desired deliverable to the Net Promoter Score measuring customer outcomes.

Developing consistent internal corporate communication vehicles to ensure the company positioning, brand, and messaging is heard and embraced by all employees.

Manage marketing staffing, budgeting and reporting.

Be able to provide metrics and measurable results for the marketing team’s efforts.

KEY SKILLS / TALENTS :
Pardot (or HubSpot) and Salesforce experience is required for this digital-first marketing director role that supports our sales-driven revenue model.

Marketing Research: Compile vendor data, public data and internal customer data into cogent, focused market segmentation and penetration plan.

Strong communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication. Strong presentation skills. Color, style, layout, and general graphic direction and editing to build a visual communication plan.

Creative: Ability to take a large, complicated set of technical product information and creatively distill messaging that is compelling and relevant to differing audiences (i.e. C-Suite messaging and clinical support messaging)

Marketing Technology Tool Kit: Strong background in CRM data segmentation, email marketing, and campaign management. Ability to direct web development, graphics talent, SEO management, social campaigns, and Ad Word campaigns.

Leader: Ability to build teamwork cross-functionally to ensure

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages internal and external marketing resources for CEC

Manages vendor relationships with Key CEC vendors and maximizes Coop and MDF funds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing

At least 5 years of experience with Pardot or Hubspot and Salesforce.

Has lead a marketing team or division in a marketing team for at least two years.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and lead well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.

Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of communications systems, including audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks.

PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of Excel is preferred.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

The duties of this job require the employee to effectively talk and hear English language communications.

The employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.

Some light lifting of objects is required.

Reaching, grasping and carrying activities also required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Above average intellectual ability and excellent judgment are needed to deal effectively with a wide range of problem solving and trouble shooting activities.

This job is primarily located in a private office.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
