Your responsibilities will include coordinating and supervising the front-of-house team, training new staff members, and fostering a culture of excellence in customer service. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the kitchen staff to guarantee seamless coordination between the dining room and the culinary team, ensuring that each dish is flawlessly delivered to our guests.
The ideal candidate has an excellent knowledge of fine dining service, and must be fully knowledgeable in all aspects of wine and wine service. This is an extremely high profile position and you must be comfortable in leading servce in a very busy dining room.
Full availability is a must, this includes some days and evenings as well as either opening or closing the restaurant on certain days.
Professional Requirements: Requirements are as follows:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fine dining restaurant of a similar capacity
- A genuine passion for hospitality with solid food and beverage knowledge
- Must possess a hospitable and approachable demeanor combined with impeccable service standards, clean work habits, and keen attention to detail
- A “lead by example” mentality
- A professional and polished appearance is essential, combined with the ability to interact with all types of team members and build relationships with guests
- Have a good understanding of food handling and sanitation requirements of the Department of Health
- Comfortable performing both hands-on service/service supervision as well as administrative tasks in response to the needs of the operation
- Must always perform one’s job with effective personal time management in mind so that all tasks are completed on schedule
- Must always seek to resolve challenges with positive, solution-minded thinking
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, consisting of brunch, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have computer knowledge, including a mastery of Toast and basic restaurant systems including Microsoft office, Resy, Word and Excel.
- Ability to work full-time. This is generally 5 days per week and can be up to 60 hours per week. Situations may arise when on days or nights off, you will be on call and ready to manage and respond to emergency situations. There will be times when asked to work more than 5 days per week. If so, extra days will be adjusted and added to PTO days.

- Frequently need to work in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, near fumes or airborne particles, in extreme non-weather heat, and in extreme non-weather cold.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Team member must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs. multiple times per day, and push a cart weighing up to 100lbs.
- Must practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury.
