What You'll Do:
The Customer Integration Engineer is responsible for supporting all aspects of data integration required to implement and support customers. This includes building and maintaining end to end ETL processes, orchestration and technical infrastructure necessary to support the secure transport, manipulation and processing of data. The Customer Integration Engineer will work closely with respective stakeholders to ensure data management, accuracy and automation practices are implemented in a consistent and scalable fashion. This role will need to combine technical competencies with a clear understanding of business context and industry / market demands as it relates to best practices for secure data management and processing. As part of the technology services team, this role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work with internal and external parties providing excellent customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain data ingestion / extraction pipelines for customer, partner and enterprise systems using new and legacy platforms
- Work across a variety of different data formats and technologies to facilitate data integration needs.
- Build custom applications and REST APIs for data access / management by systems across our infrastructure
- Focus on performance, throughput, and latency, and drive these throughout our architecture
- Take end-to-end ownership of deployments to production and production support for data projects
- Manage MFT services, inclusive of setup, configuration and support
- Assist in writing test automation for data initiatives
Requirements and Experience:
- Experience with Airflow, Databricks, analytics systems (e.g., OLAP, BI tools).
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with the latest cloud, data engineering, ETL, query, and database technologies as well as query languages; Azure specific service expertise preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to identify and communicate data-driven insights
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science
- 3 years experience in software engineering, data engineering, data analysis or related relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of software engineering concepts and best practices
- Ability to work across structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
- Experience manipulating large datasets
- Experience preparing data for analytics
