What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Worker - Help Center position at Cecil County Government?
Position Summary Position promotes and regulates the Child and Adult Care Food Program under Cecil County’s sponsorship by recruiting and monitoring licensed childcare providers, planning workshops and attending nutrition conferences and meetings as required by the Maryland State Department of Education.
Position Responsibilities 1. Recruit licensed child care providers. 2. Monitor providers through announced and unannounced home visits three times per year. 3. Prepare monthly claims for reimbursement for eligible food provided by licensed daycare providers. 4. Enter information into appropriate platforms as required by the State of Maryland. 5. Provide training and technical assistance to providers. 6. Attend conferences, meetings, and workshops as required by MSDE. 7. Assist with budget preparation and the annual application process for MSDE. 8. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: Education- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Associates degree in early childhood development or related field preferred. Experience -Minimum of one (1) year experience working with child care or monitoring programs preferred
Certificate(s) and/or License(s) 1. Possession of a valid Class “C” non-commercial driver’s license with no more than three (3) points.
