Counter Sales / Warehouse

SUMMARY:

Our counter sales / warehouse associates make sure our products are received, stored and distributed accurately and efficiently. Counter Sales/Warehouse Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, knowledge of materials and ensuring our customers’ orders are packed with care and accuracy. Our counter sales / warehouse associates work 40-45 hours per week, thorough and comprehensive training is provided to all associates. As a Counter Salesperson, you will be responsible for assisting customers in person and over the phone, entering orders in system, reviewing and pulling orders, and ensuring customers' needs are met in a professional and timely fashion.

REPORTS TO: PC Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend, and twist
• Ability to work on concrete floor for entire shift
• Ability to climb ladders to pull material
• Customer Service experience

While performing the duties of this job, warehouse associates are regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 75 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Conditions vary based on needed activities and will include warehouse, sales floor and external environments. Some activities will include lifting (maximum 50 lbs.), sorting, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Air Conditioned office and sales area.

COMPENSATION:
The compensation range for this position is $42,000.00 to $64,000.00 annually

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Create Sales Register, pull material from the warehouse, and fill the order
• Create or write manual Cash Sale Receipt for cash customer and fill the order
• Accept Cash Sale returns and write up Cash Sale refund
• Keep counter area and displays clean, stocked, and neat at all times and assist in maintaining the entire location in a clean and orderly fashion
• Assist with purchasing duties by informing the Purchasing Agent when item inventory is low or sold out
• Answer sales calls and complete orders over the phone
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders to determine items to be picked, packed, distributed or shipped/transferred
• Use computer to manage sales orders, inventory and enter information into business management system
• Deliver professional, courteous, friendly, accurate customer service.
