The Director of Nursing is responsible for the development, organization and management of all nursing activities. The provision of direction and supervision for organized nursing care is an integral aspect of this role. Leadership is provided with consideration of the organization as a whole; promoting an atmosphere or respect and encouragement for professional growth for all nursing staff members. Patient care standards and nursing practice/professional standards are established and implemented under the direction of the Director of Nursing, as a mechanism for operational authority in the planning, direction and evaluation of nursing services activities. The Director of Nursing collaborates with other hospital leaders on all matters relevant to the delivery of quality patient care and continually assesses utilization of the collaborative process among all clinical staff at all levels and other disciplines/departments to ensure organized, comprehensive, efficient and effective patient care.

Cedar Creek provides evidence-based treatment to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health issues. Cedar Creek Hospital invests in our patients by offering an integrated medicine approach that provides the latest therapies including yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy and nutrition. Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Michigan.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a accredited nursing program; Master of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience and from a behavioral health setting is preferred
