Cedar Fair is seeking an Accountant I- Timekeeping and Compliance (TAC) at Cedar Point location. The Accountant I TAC is a member of the Accounting Administration team. This position will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all payroll timekeeping and compliance events. This position reports directly to the Manager or Timekeeping and Compliance. This role will oversee TAC Clerical staff members and/or seasonal staff during peak seasons.
The Accountant I - TAC will ensure the timeliness and accurate processing of UKG (Dimensions) time and attendance close for each pay period. The role is responsible for ensuring data in UKG is maintained daily by operating divisions for their respective park and may assist other Cedar Fair Parks depending on available resources. The position will assist the Manager- TAC with developing and communicating a standardized and effective timekeeping and payroll process for all Cedar Fair Parks.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for the weekly close of UKG Time and Attendance in a timely and accurate manner. This will involve communication with operating divisions to ensure data in UKG is corrected from errors and is ready for processing.
- Responsible for ensuring TAC functions in the department are performed daily.
- Weekly review and balancing of Exempt payroll in Ceridian Dayforce.
- Prepare necessary payroll imports for housing and other deductions.
- Responsible for processing required daily onsite terminations checks and processing timecard corrections in UKG.
- Responsible for weekly reconciliation of UKG data to Ceridian payroll registers and reconciliation of payroll accounts.
- Maintain biweekly employee tip allocation reports for annual Federal Tip reporting.
- Collaborate with Cedar Fair Payroll, Work Force Management (WFM), and Human Resources (HR) teams to resolve issues in the payroll process. Communicate with divisional management regarding Payroll deadlines and work with internal and external Auditors.
- General understanding of the timekeeping and compliance aspects of applicable state payroll laws, policies, and procedures.
- Train TAC clerical and seasonal staff on UKG and Ceridian systems.
- Assist associates with payroll questions and UKG timekeeping concerns.
- A 2-year degree in accounting or related field from an accredited business or technical college
- Three or more years of demonstrated success in timekeeping or related payroll systems environments with progressive responsibilities
- Demonstrated aptitude with software applications and the interface of data between non-related applications. (Previous experience with Ceridian Dayforce and/or UKG Dimensions timekeeping preferred).
- Demonstration of leadership with a strong background in payroll, timekeeping, or related activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test and background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, according to Company.
Salary : $44,600 - $56,500
