Direct daily risk exposure related to general safety, first aid, fire protection/prevention, workers’ compensation, and general liability claims. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company requirements. Manage and supervise the work of others.
Responsibilities:
Positively promote a safety culture, engaging all departments in training, monitoring and reporting best practices.
Develop and implement standards relating to guest and associate’s safety in compliance with federal, state, and local codes.
Responsible for safety audits and safety investigations for all departments and work areas to ensure the safety of guests and associates.
Develop, maintain, and implement company and department safety policies and procedures.
Provide safety review and recommendations during engineering, construction, or modifications of company projects.
Assist Maintenance, Ride Operations, and Aquatics on permit applications and renewals.
Prepare and administer annual department operating budget.
Adhere to and enforce all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, to include safety, attendance, and EEO policies.
Qualifications:
Required - Bachelor’s Degrees
Required - Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Safety role
Preferred - Knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA codes, Amusement Park ASTM standards
Preferred – Experience in Emergency Medical Services, First Aid, CPR, AED
Preferred – National Incident Management Certrifications
