What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at Cedar Group?
We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer with an emphasis in branding to join our growing team. We want someone inspired by Alaska and who will stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies and has the pulse on where brand design is headed. The ideal candidate has a portfolio of work and 3 years experience in an agency setting working on branding design, layout design, and bringing concepts to life in a creative way that speaks to the audience and client that you’re creating for.
JOB DUTIES
Branding Work
- Create visual concepts that align with a brand’s identity
- Take created branding concepts to create business suites, merchandise, and other business collateral
- Create mood boards for clients based on client preferences, and effectively communicate reasons for the choices of brand concepts (color, font, imagery, etc.)
General
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Schedule projects and define budget constraints
- Conceptualize visuals based on client requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present conceptual ideas
- Work with creative team to produce final designs
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
- Present concepts, sketches and final designs to clients
Requirements
- Proven graphic design experience with portfolio
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
This position is salaried starting at $75,000 annually with an expectation of 37.5 hours of work per week.
